A Journey of Growth and Innovation
PC Clinic Ltd. was founded in 2004 in the dynamic business hub of Princes Town, Trinidad, by Shazan Mohammed, who was driven by a clear vision and a strong commitment to excellence. His passion for technology had been ignited in 1999 from his work with various IT companies, and as a freelance technician, which accumulated extensive experience, and so he decided to venture out on his own.
His wife, Simi, whose expertise was in sales and accounting, provided the perfect complement to Shazan’s technical ability. Their combined skills and dedication laid the foundation for PC Clinic Ltd., transforming a shared dream into a thriving enterprise renowned for its exceptional service and innovative approach.
Nestled on Charlotte Street in Princes Town, amidst a bustling scene of around twenty competitors, a modest store emerged. This shop wasn’t just any ordinary sales and service outlet—it quickly became a go-to destination for consumer desktops, laptops, computer parts, and accessories. With a knack for building and repairing computers, the business swiftly garnered a loyal following, boasting over a hundred dedicated customers. The store’s reputation for quality and reliability set it apart, establishing a strong foothold in the local market.
Initially the company had no Authorized Reseller badges, then eventually acquired many registrations and training to become recognized resellers for major brands like Adobe, Microsoft, Dell, SolarWinds, Poly, Fortinet, and many others.
As business grew, the company began diversifying its operations to include Premium Business Solutions and Enterprise-Grade Services. This expansion meant venturing into the sales of servers, business-grade laptops and desktops, backup devices, cybersecurity solutions, and cloud technologies—perfectly aligning with the burgeoning era of digital transformation sweeping across Trinidad & Tobago. In a strategic move ahead of its time, PC Clinic Ltd launched its website in 2010, during the early days of the online presence boom in T&T. This forward-thinking approach not only cemented their position in the market but also marked a significant milestone in their journey towards becoming a digital powerhouse.
With this growth, the company began attracting customers across the Caribbean, primarily through its Adobe products, gaining clients in countries such as Antigua, Grenada, and Barbados.
In 2014, operations expanded significantly after ten years, necessitating a move to a larger space to accommodate the increased business, moving from the humble Charlotte Street location to a much larger space in Manahambre, Princes Town, which was about four times bigger.
By 2022, the company had amassed over 7,000 satisfied clients and secured their position as an industry leader. It necessitated another move to an even larger location, not too far from where they were, a new, spacious two-story building that accommodated all offices, conference rooms, service center, and retail store.
In 2024, one of the most significant milestones in their journey was achieved, becoming the first ever Adobe Platinum Partner in the Caribbean. This prestigious status reflected the exceptional sales performance and deep expertise in Adobe solutions, allowing them to offer unparalleled service, support, and competitive pricing to their clients.
Community has always been at the heart of PC Clinic Ltd. Shazan, who has been actively engaged in community service since the age of 14, has dedicated over 35 years to various charitable, sporting, and educational initiatives. His philanthropic efforts include sponsoring educational programs, providing essential resources for schools, organizing workshops to equip young people with critical digital skills, and supporting local events. This commitment to giving back has strengthened the community and inspired the company to strive for excellence in every aspect of their work.
From their humble beginnings to becoming a leader in the IT industry, Shazan and Simi’s story is one of dedication, hard work, and strategic growth. While the journey has had its challenges, the satisfaction and accomplishments they’ve achieved together make it all worthwhile. Their story is not just about business success; it’s about making a meaningful impact on the community and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
